Biometric Consent
Alcatraz AI, Inc. (“Alcatraz,” “us,” or “we”) provides an AI-powered access control system (the “Rock”) that is used by your employer to authenticate the identities of individuals for access control and security purposes, i.e., to regulate who can enter and access a given premises or physical space, or certain areas of that premises or space (the “Alcatraz Services”). The Rock operates by analyzing the characteristics of facial geometry data extracted from videos and photos of users (“Facial Data”) to authenticate their identities, while leveraging artificial intelligence to operate with greater accuracy and speed.
Alcatraz (operating on behalf of your employer as your employer’s service provider) and/or your employer may collect, use, and/or process your Facial Data and other personal data for purposes of facilitating your use of the Alcatraz Services and Rock, and (where permitted by applicable law) improving and developing the Alcatraz Services.
By using the Alcatraz Services and the Rock, you expressly agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy governing Alcatraz, including the Arbitration Agreement and Class Action Waiver contained in Alcatraz’s Terms of Service.
Consistent with directions from your employer, Alcatraz will permanently destroy Facial Data collected and retained by Alcatraz through your use of the Alcatraz Services and the Rock when directed to do so by your employer, or within one year of your last interaction with Alcatraz, whichever occurs first, unless otherwise required by law or legal process to retain the data.
By adding your signature below or otherwise proceeding to use the Alcatraz Services and/or the Rock that Alcatraz provides on behalf of your employer, you expressly agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy of Alcatraz linked above and expressly consent and provide a written release to Alcatraz’s and your employer’s collection, capture, processing, possession, and disclosure of your Facial Data and other personal data.
Consent management
Every enrollment method has an optional opt-out that blocks facial data collection entirely and removes any stored template.
