Healthcare access control at one of LA County’s busiest hospitals
Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital (MLKCH) is a Los Angeles hospital with one of the county’s busiest emergency departments and a strong emphasis on technology and security. With 2,000+ employees (including 70+ security staff), MLKCH sought to strengthen verification for sensitive areas by adding biometrics to its existing AMAG Symmetry access control—starting with the hospital security center and planning expansion to other high-security and critical areas such as IT spaces and data centers that handle sensitive patient information.
