CUPERTINO, Calif. — May 14 2026 — Alcatraz, the AI-powered physical access control company redefining secure entry through facial authentication, today announced the appointment of Ilya Ozerets as Senior Vice President of Product & Innovation.
In this role, Ilya will lead Alcatraz’s next phase of product and technology evolution, overseeing product, software, and hardware teams to accelerate execution, strengthen cross-functional alignment, and deliver high-impact, revenue-generating innovations across the company.
Ilya brings more than 15 years of experience building and scaling AI-native products, biometric technologies, and enterprise systems. Most recently, he served as Chief Product & Strategy Officer at ID R&D, a leader in liveness and anti-spoofing technologies, where he helped scale the company’s biometric technology offerings and contributed to its successful acquisition by Mitek Systems.
His previous leadership experience also includes product and strategy roles at Mitek Systems and Wells Fargo, where he led enterprise identity, authentication, and biometric technologies supporting hundreds of millions of users.
