Alcatraz overview
The Alcatraz architecture
Rock X. RockOS. Rock Cortex. Built to work as one solution.

Rock
The original Rock delivers trusted, AI-powered facial authentication and tailgating detection.

Rock X
A facial authentication device built for access control indoors and out, with built-in tailgating detection, engineered with privacy in mind.
RockOS
RockOS runs on every Rock device, handling authentication, security, and privacy protection right at the door.

Rock Cortex
The platform to manage your entire access control fleet: configuration, analytics, firmware, and consent, all from one place.
How it works: Privacy
Alcatraz takes privacy seriously. No PII moves in either direction: your ACS never sees a biometric profile, and Alcatraz never sees your ACS's PII.
Consent · phone enrollment flow
(4 screens + typing, tap, face-scan arcs)
Consent
The user provides consent to use Alcatraz, shared with your company before anything else happens.
Biometric profile · slide-2.jpg
(+ 3 traced aura curves, drawn then breathing)
Biometric profile
From the facial profile, RockOS creates a one-way encrypted template using AES-256. The original image is discarded immediately.
Binding · binding-portrait.jpg
(+ traced face outline, photo blur-out, badge number)
Binding
The template is bound to a badge number, fully anonymous. What is stored cannot be turned back into a face.
